Youth Services Youth Services

The Youth Services Program is open to low-income St. James Parish residents who have dropped out of school or have a GED or diploma and are basic skills deficient.

Each individual enrolled in the program will complete assessments, service plans and goal setting workshops in an effort to allow students to become workforce ready.
 
Youth Build
 
Youth Build is a comprehensive youth and community development program. Unemployed and underappreciated youth ages 16-24 work towards their GED or high school diploma while learning construction skills by building affordable housing for low-income familes.
 
YouthROC
 
YouthROC is a program for "at-risk" youth including court involved youth to work towards their GED or diploma while completeing services learning projects (many with a green focus) within the community.
 
Freedom School
 
Freedom school is a program for school aged children ages 5 to 18 which focus on literacy, culturalheritage, parental involvement, servant leadership, and social action. The Freedom School program connects the needs of children and their families with the resources of the community.
 
Hours of Operation:
Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
