In an
effort to custom tailor our training programs to meet the
needs of all St. James Parish citizens, the Mobile
Technology Staff created a series of special programs that
help to foster an environment of individual achievement and
positive reinforcement.

PATHWAY Project |
|
The PATHWAY Project is a
collaborative effort between the St. James Parish Elderly Services
Program & the Mobile Technology Program designed to introduce
Basic Computer Skills to senior citizens.
Participants study:
MS Word
MS Excel
MS PowerPoint
MS Publisher
Internet
The PATHWAY
program has shared its success with over 60 senior
participants!

Passing START
Project |
|
Passing START is a summer enrichment
computer camp designed for children ages 5-17 that emphasizes
basic computer literacy.
The course teaches:
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Power Point
Internet & Safe Surfing |

Project Star |
|
Project Star is a collaborative
effort between the St. James Parish Head Start Program & the
Mobile Technology program.
Head Start students (ages 3-4) are taken through a curriculum that
emphasizes
basic computer literacy, as well as, reinforcing the Head Start
Creative Curriculum.
This program annually works with 241
Head Start students! |

Headquarters (HQ) |
|
HQ is a collaborative effort between
the St. James Parish
Housing Authority and the Mobile Technology Program.
The HQ Program is designed to provide a door-to-door
approach to training and advancement of the ST. JAMES Parish
Housing Authority Residents and Families.
HQ YOUTH is a computer-based
enrichment program designed for grades K to 12th grade that
emphasizes basic computer literacy..
HQ ADULT offers evening adult education courses in Basic Computer
Skills, GED Preparation, and Job Skills & Readiness Training. |
