Elderly Program

 

 

The Elderly Program provides a full range of services for senior citizens (60+), including four senior centers, congregate and homebound meals, outreach and information, referrals, recreation, telephoning/visiting the homebound, caregiver/respite, visiting those in the local nursing home and legal aid.

The Ombudsman program ensures that residents of long-term care facilities receive quality care and the quality of life to which they are entitled. the Ombudsman investigates and resolves the complaints made by long-term care facilities' resident

***Caregiver Respite Program*** Respite Program***  

The "CAREBREAK" for Seniors and Caregivers Dementia Respite Center is designed to provide relief to family members caring at home for a relative with Alzheimer Disease or a related dementia illness and to offer participants social and recreational opportunities with an emphasis on keeping the participants mentally stimulated.

Eligibility

A medical diagnosis of Alzheimer's or a related dementia.55 year or older. Ambulatory and continent. Living with a family caregiver, must be able to participate and benefit from program activities.

Hours of Operation

Tuesday: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Thursday: 11 a.m.- 3 p.m.
