What is CAER ?

CAER is an acronym for Community Awareness Emergency Response and its name is self-explanatory. Industry cares about our community and takes many precautions to maintain a safe community environment while producing chemicals used to manufacture products that benefit us in everyday life.

Similar to the Local Emergency Planning Committee, CAER advances community safety to the next level by increasing communication, education and awareness. CAER efforts also include assisting the parish in becoming better prepared for all kinds of emergencies - chemical, transportation and natural. With our newly developed CAER, we envision conducting more emergency drills and exercises to further sharpen everyone's awareness
