If you sustained damage to your home or business electrical and/or gas systems and want to make sure it is safe to have them reconnected by the utility provider, please call the St. James Parish Planning and Permitting Office and an inspector will be dispatched to be sure it is safe to reconnect. The inspector will be able to advise you if there is anything unsafe and help you understand what needs to be done to bring it to a safe working condition.
If you have made repairs and the utility provider is unable to reconnect you, please contact St. James Parish Planning and Permitting Office and an inspector will be dispatched to help you identify what needs to be done to allow the utility provider to reconnect you.
These services are being provided at no cost and are offered to ensure your safety and to expedite the reconnection process when the utility providers are in a position to turn services back on.
